Day 185 - Water On

We now have water so we don't have to run somewhere else to use the bathroom.  We unfortunately failed the electrical inspection.  Seems like a lot of little stupid things but none the less they must be done.  Plumbing coming out on Friday to finish inspection and install new backup sump pump.

Tomorrow will start the kitchen backsplash into next week.  I also have my cousin coming out tomorrow to do some more work with the cat5 and coax lines before internet/cable is installed next week.

Here is now what the punch list looks like after our FM did some work:
  • Powder room sink drain doesn’t open all the way
  • Can’t replace floor vent by the front door
  • Missing 2 toe kick floor vents in the kitchen
  • Basement bathroom missing the doorknob
  • Fix holes where the AC Unit used to be on the garage wall
  • Loose baseboard on Jefferson’s bathroom closet right side
  • Caulking on Jefferson’s sink
  • Messy plaster job on Jefferson’s bathtub
  • Missing a doorstop on Jefferson’s bedroom closet
  • Mater bathroom wall between shower and tub, not straight at all (you can tell when you look at the baseboard on the floor) - this is going to be another 1.5-2 weeks worth of work
  • Master bathroom countertop needed caulking
  • Master bedroom doorknob hits barn door when open all the way - needs a special doorstop
  • Loft window top right plastic is still loose/popped out still
  • Front door floor trim looks messy and a gap, not sure if that’s normal
  • Painting of the front door and garage door in the Spring with Bruce
  • Front door trip is very slow and needs to be fixed and there are staple holes
  • Missing lock on the powder room bathroom door
  • Front closet has a lock on it?
  • Drywall in the greatroom carpet
  • Laundry room floor vent doesn’t fit
  • Spring hinge for the garage door when you enter the Mudroom
  • Down stairs window left of fire place missing the screen (it’s sitting in front of it)
  • Hydraulics for the bench seat (lid is very heavy) - FM to find something more heavy duty
  • Bridging for the downstairs floors. They echo a little when you walk. My Dad mentioned you can do bridging on the floor boards from the basement to help with the sound. - we decided not to do this
  • There is a scratch under the slider door handle on the outside - FM has a call into someone to fix this
  • Caulking under the bartop
  • Put the stairs back on the back of the house
