Day 53 - More Plumbing

Looks like they finished off most of the plumbing today.  One major item was the drain in the garage.  I also noticed they did not yet connect the hot/cold water lines to the garage.

Garage drain went in.

Day 51 - Lumber Moved

Really nothing done today except our FM moved out the lumber from the garage to allow for the plumbers to come back out put the drain in the garage.  Our FM is working with the city to get inspections lined up for this week for the garage and basement cement pouring.

There are a few other open items still to be completed:
  • Garage door still has not gone up yet
  • AC unit placement still undecided
  • Water line placement in the basement still an issue

You can see the excess lumber and door on the right.

Not sure what this means but just noticed today and took a picture.

Day 50 - Venting

Not much done today.  I saw some venting was run to the outside for the bathrooms.  Still waiting to see exactly where the AC unit is going to be moved to.  Also still waiting on the garage side door to go in.

Vent coming out at the front porch for 1/2 bath on the first floor.

Vent for the main bath upstairs

Vent for our master bath.

Here's where the vents come out to the backyard.

I just noticed this outside outlet on the side of the garage.

Still no man-door.

Day 49 - Electric, Electrica, Electrical

Basically they are finished with the electrical for now.  Still some work to be done putting in the outlets and lights in the basement and then connecting the wires to the main breaker box and getting charged up from the street.  One major issue we found was that they ran the 220v line for the air conditional on the side of the house instead of the back.  I've got some pictures below and brought it to my FM and electricians attention.

My FM called me today to talk about the issue with the island spacing.  Instead of two 30inch cabinets we'll be going with one 48inch cabinet.  This way we can split the difference and make more walking room in front the of sink and pantry.

The air conditioner should NOT go here.

It should be going here.

Doorbell wired.

Jefferson putting his headlight on for a late night trek to the house.

Now that's an electrical panel.

Wires galore.  (all the ones to the left are coax and cat5)

Good view of the can lights in the great room.
