Day 38 - Framing day #3

Lots more progress today with the upstairs started - only the roofs are remaining.  I hope the house doesn't stick out too much with it's height.  The upstairs rooms are bigger than we expected but the bathrooms seem smaller.

Talked with our FM and he provided me with the following schedule:
  • 9/21 - Finish framing
  • 9/22 - Shingles being delivered
  • 9/23 - Roofers coming to do the roof; garage door installation; AC/furnace roughing
  • 9/24 - AC/furnace roughing
  • 9/25 - Fireplace install
  • 9/28 - Plumbing
  • 9/29 - Electrical walk through with electrician (need to ask him about running speaker wire)
  • 9/30 - Finish electrical
  • 10/1-10/2 - Inspections
  • Next steps: Concrete poured and cut; trades back to do the downstairs bathroom
Documenting some questions we had:
  • When does the siding go on? - after the concrete is poured and cut
  • We noticed the external doors delivered were off-white, do those get painted? - Yes
  • Are the stairs part of the framing scheduled to complete by 9/21? - Yes
  • Are there locks put on doors immediately after installation? - No, those go on later
  • Can we set aside a date for me to run speaker wire along with Coax and Cat5? - Yes
