Day 41 - Framing day #4

Another day of progress today with the frame for the ceilings and trusses going up.  We also had stairs to the basement although they were suspended and not attached at the bottom.  Today was the first day that we were not as excited.  We were so spoiled from the 9ft ceilings on the first floor and basement that we forgot the upstairs was standard height.  We picked that and knew what we were in for but the rooms are still a great size.  Our FM told us that the roofers have been rescheduled for Friday (9/29) but should not affect anything else - just a scheduling conflict with another job.

Jefferson dropped his ball down in the basement yesterday so we were able to go retrieve it today.  Again we had visitors from the neighborhood and gladly showed them around.  Everyone has been very impressed with the craftsmanship and our selection of layout.  Way to go Wayne Homes and us.  I'm not sure when the windows and exterior doors will be going up but they are all sitting in the garage.

It's really coming together.

Jefferson isn't a fan of the water spot from days of the hose leaking the last couple of weeks.

This nook is screaming wrestling mat!

This is the nook under the window seat in the basement.  Maybe a bar?

View from the wrestling room.

Cathedral ceilings in the dining room.  This room is going to be amazing with so much natural light.

The loft is now a staging area for them to finish the roof.

You can see that the roof seems a lot lower than the first floor.  (perception is everything and it's much more important on the first floor)

Cathedral ceiling view from upstairs.

Nice angled shot of us in the master bedroom with me standing on a stack of plywood.

View from the backyard.
