The big surprises for me was the barn doors were installed, the new cabinets were installed, and the I see that fireplace is working (it might have been working prior but just never tried it).
Tomorrow the plumbing guys are supposed to be in doing what I think is a lot of work for one day but we'll see how it goes. They need to attach the main water line and move it away from the basement door, attach all waterlines throughout the house, install toilets & sinks, hookup the outside waterlines (3 of them), install fixtures, and test everything out. (note: they showed up on 1/29 @7am). Next week should be cleaning, painting finishes, & inspection.
Other items:
- Back-splash got approval to get installed next weekend so we are moving on that
- AC unit is scheduled to be moved tomorrow as well
- We got an estimate for the driveway are ready to go but I think we'll need to wait until March/April to pour based on weather
- Got a large quote to paint the basement so I think we're going to do that ourselves (anyone want to help?)
- Plan to install the in-ceiling speakers this weekend (and hopefully buy the new 65" tv)
- Need to start thinking about:
- Window blinds
- Fence
- Other deliveries
- Cabinet hardware
- Figuring out timing to install the two in-wall speakers (the wire is still buried in the wall)
- Choosing a cable provider
- Starting to switch over all of our address information to the new house
